I FIND WORDS
FOR THINGS

I lead large naming projects via my naming-first brand-language studio, Wild Geese Studio. I also founded the naming-education platform Naming for Everyone, and co-founded The Business of Naming, an annual conference for people who make a living making names.

I spent seven years as a director of verbal identity at Interbrand, where I led the global naming practice and developed a program around training and development for brand leaders and brand teams.

Before Interbrand, I worked at Ologie, focusing on clients across retail, education, and non-profit. Prior to Ologie, I got my start in naming at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. (I named the scented candles.)

I live in an old farmhouse in the foothills of the Catskills mountains in New York. When I’m not naming, I’m lifting weights, losing at jiu jitsu, and making art about gender, friendship, love, and dread.
